Homework for the Weekend

*****Science Olympiad*****- Meeting Saturday from 10 am-4 pm. Bring all events, materials, permission slips, etc. to the meeting as well as some money for lunch and/or the money you owe for lunch last Saturday.

English Natural Connections (Elliot)- Work on your debate! There is a quiz on Monday on which you must know the debate vocabulary (proposition, status quo, etc.), as well as the order of the speakers and the main points in your debate. Also, know what proposition your opponent is debating. Debates start Tuesday.*
*Admins, I am not sure if the debates start Tuesday. (Good question. It's either Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday. -KB)

Spanish (McDermott)- The group presentations starts Wednesday. Using the vocab on pages 125 and 126 of the text, you must teach the vocab to the class, as well as form review and quizzing methods. There is a quiz on Monday on Por vs. Para and on Luis Vigilante.

German- For those of us who failed miserably (the majority of the class), retake the quiz on Monday during the class period. Remember, no bonuses, but you are expected to know everything else.

Math (Glasheen/Albinson)- No written homework. Daily quizzes have started so know your stuff!

AP World (Chase)- Exam on Chapters 9 and 10 is on Tuesday; beware! (or study...)
Gold: Take home quiz due on Monday. Comparitive essay is coming up this week.

Biology (Guarascio)- If you did not complete the practice ditto for protein synthesis in class, then it is homework due Monday. The test on chapter 12 is on Wednesday (2/8) and extra help is Tuesday (2/7) during lunch.
Note: For Period 4/5, Dry Lab 3 assigned in class MUST be completed as homework over the weekend even if you have a note stating that you are exempt from homework. This is a lab and/or classwork, therefore you have to complete it either way.
Wasz- None

ALSO, there is a group presentation project in which your group must teach the class specified material. The presentations will start Wednesday, and you must have a method of presenting, reviewing, and quizzing.

German- BIG Quiz tomorrow on everything from last week's vocab to road signs to I.O./D.O.
Be prepared!

Math (Glasheen/Albinson)- Page 157 (5 to 17 odd) in workbook. Daily quizzes have started, so know your stuff.

Homework for Wednesday

English Natural Connections (Elliot)- If your group got to the stage of selecting a debate topic then work on that. If your group didn't then, there is no hw. The more you work on your arguments, the better they will be.

Spanish (McDermott)- Present on Luis Vigilante (create a dialog that you will present with your partner on a chosen scene).

German- Futhark posters will probably be finished up in class tomorrow. Also, cumulative quiz on Friday that covers all of this week's material and most of last week's material, including vocuabulary (there are approximately 20 terms in all).

Math (Glasheen)- Pages 152 and 153, #'s 3 to 17 odd, in the red workbook. Know your stuff because the daily quizzes are among us.

AP World (Chase)- If you want you can finish your "big idea" statement from class on chapter 10. There is a test on chapters 9 and 10 on Tuesday (chapter 10 is long and dense with info).

Gold- Start reading chapter 11 in the stearns book. The quiz is the take home sheet, due Monday (02/06/06). The more info you put on it, the higher your grade will be.

Biology (Guarascio)- If you did not finish the section 12-2 ditto in class, then it is homework. Future: Ditto 12-3 is due Friday and Enrichment is Friday. *You do not need to do the section dittos if you get that form signed by yourself and your parents. However, you will need to score 90% or higher or else you will have to do different assignments (chapter questions).

Wasz- Nothing. *A word of advice*: Make sure you are accurate with your labs so everyone does well on the lab test's at the end of each quarter.

Media Arts Tiberius- Work on your portfolio and stay up to date in your work. Start looking around for a camera.

Any HW questions? Leave a question for one of our admins to answer.
